National Museum of Singapore opened an big exhibition which show the Farquhar's Collection. There are three kinds of exhibition. The first that I will write is STORY OF THE FOREST "Glass Rotunda".
This exhibition has been opened since 10th December 2016. It opens daily from 10 AM until 7 PM.
This exhibition shows the story life in forest in interactive digital wall which brings to life 69 drawings from the collection within the museum’s Glass Rotunda.
It is not only the drawings which are very colorful and look very real, but it also put animation. The animation helps the drawings are life.
Beside of animals, William Farquhar also explored more in flora or flowers. He gives a wonderful effects in every drawing, so when we are in the dark room, we can feel the sense of the flowing every flowers surround us.
The last object that William Farquhar tries to explore is growing trees. The color in every object really gives the the visitors to feel the forest life. The dark room is very suitable with the light effect which is showed from every object.
I really enjoy and love this exhibition. It is because it can bring me returning to the nature. Although, it is only an illustration and animation, I can enjoy the journey of nature inside the gallery. The illustrations sometimes look very complicated and so detail, but I still like it and it can inspire me what the nature is about.
This big project is very suitable for people who are busy of working, living in the city and forget how the nature looks like. By the illustration, animation and sound effect, it brings the visitors return into the nature and fantasy of imagination.
